 Hira Raheel is a Critical Care Medicine Fellow at Western University, where she previously completed her post-graduate medical training in Internal Medicine. She earned her M.D. degree from the University of Toronto and holds an M.Sc. in Molecular and Translational Medicine from the Institute of Medical Science. Her research experience spans across critical care, anesthesia, infectious diseases, and medical education, with a strong foundation in both clinical and translational science. She has led systematic reviews and quality improvement initiatives in critical care sedation and non-invasive ventilation outcomes, and her prior laboratory work has been published in leading respiratory and physiology journals. Her current scholarly interests focus on the ethical dimensions of critical care research, end-of-life care and organ donation, including normothermic regional perfusion. Hira has received multiple research and presentation awards and is actively engaged in medical education and leadership at Western University. Outside of academic medicine, Hira enjoys playing tennis, watching movies and cooking and baking for her family and friends.
