Andrew Peterson is an Assistant Professor and Greenwall Faculty Scholar in the Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy and Department of Philosophy at George Mason University. He is also an Affiliate Researcher at the University Pennsylvania Memory Center. Previously, he received his PhD in philosophy (2016) from Western University, Canada, supervised by Charles Weijer. He was a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholar in the Rotman Institute of Philosophy and the Brain and Mind Institute at the Western University, Canada. His research centres on ethical and epistemological issues in the scientific study of consciousness, with special focus on brain injury.
