Jess du Toit
Department of Philosophy
Jess du Toit is a doctoral student in the philosophy department at Western University. She is originally from the beautiful city of Cape Town, South Africa, where she received her B.A. (English and Philosophy), Honours (Philosophy) and Masters (Philosophy) degrees from the University of Cape Town. Her philosophical interests are in applied ethics, particularly issues in animal and medical ethics, and at the intersection of these two areas. She is supervised by Prof. Weijer and her work on the ethics of pragmatic randomized trials is supported by a Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship. Jess is a keen runner and drinker of all kinds of tea. She also really loves dogs.
